Looking after children
Two quite different things sit under this heading, and the difference is who has checked the person.
Registered service, or private arrangement
A registered service — outside school hours care, a family day care scheme — screens its staff, is rated, and is regulated. It may also attract the Child Care Subsidy.
A private arrangement is you and another person. Depending on the state and the circumstances, a Working with Children Check may not be legally required for it at all. That does not mean you should not ask for one; only that nobody else is going to.
AskFam has checked neither. Anything you see here is a public listing, or somebody describing themselves.
