When you need a person, not a list
Some things should not be answered with a list of names, and AskFam deliberately does not answer them that way.
Coming home from hospital. A fall. Confusion or memory. Medicines. Worry about whether somebody is coping at all. Every one of those needs a person who can assess the situation, and handing you three phone numbers instead would be the product pretending to be useful.
Why this is a refusal and not a gap
AskFam has no way to check that anybody is qualified, insured, or safe to be alone with a vulnerable adult. For ordinary help that is a manageable limitation, stated plainly. For these, it is not.
So the product stops. It is enforced in code, before anything looks at supply — not a guideline that a well-worded request can talk its way past.
